Almost 18 months after BN66 became law and they still haven't got all the CNs out. Unbelievable!!!

Hello ... I've been lurking for a while now although I have been communicating with DR. I'm in the same boat - still not received a CN. Maybe they are saving it for the Christmas week to really ruin it for me!

As I recall, there were quite a few CNs that turned up last Xmas Eve. Obviously this was just a coincidence.

They owe me 8.5 grand repayment but have refused to refund me until the investigation is over. grrrrrr. I wonder if they will pay me interest.

Yep I was one of them. This year received the Tax investigation letter a week after my birthday, so they are getting better!!

I am owed 2k as well. Was told the same thing... that the account is "frozen" pending the investigation.


Could really do with that cash, times being hard and all that.

One guy got a refund...

by writing to HMRC pleading hardship and saying he was desperate. They coughed up immediately.

Cleary there is discretion, and they've already set a precedent by refunding one person.
