Is the hundred quid automatically written off against the monies 'owed' thereby reducing my 'debt' or is it just kept in a dark room somewhere in the bowels of HMRC towers never to see the light of my account?
I got a similar notification but for £1600. This happens every year to me , I get the rebate and then 6 months later they recall it in error. Think I'll just leave it this time, as know if I called them would say you owe ££££££ under BN66. I'll wait to see what happens when submit Januarys amount.

One guy got around this by writing to HMRC and saying he was out of work, depressed and feeling suicidal. They gave him a refund.

However, it was a couple of grand. It might be hard to convince them for 100 quid.

It's kept in Mr YouKnowWho's (TM) bowels.

He will be tuliping it all out at the JR.

Can someone advise if I get formal notice from our mates that the appeal has been received/ accepted, or do they just inform MTM?

                Non Domiciled Status

                A question:
What is the impact of the SCO investigation if a member of the Montpelier scheme is a non-domiciled resident? From my understanding of UK tax law, the trust is a foreign trust and as such any income accruing to the trust is not taxable provided the funds are not remitted to the UK.

This setup obviously completely ignores the DTA.

Difference is I know I owe that money (not through BN66), they always do this, one year it was over 3k, then I had to pay it back 6 months later! That was depressing!

                      Montpelier Contact

Please can someone give me the Montpelier contact email address to send my CN to. I am no longer based in the UK and I have not received any correspondence from Montpelier for the last few years, hence the request.

                      Thanks
