closing company, accountants have now found deficit...

ive decided to wind up my company while on the bench and these accountants have not done a great job.

i get a letter today saying there is a £900 defecit and i need to repay it. ive always followed their guidelines as for what to withdraw and i would know about £900 going missing.

    any advice from similar situation?

Funny that, my last advice note from year end also says -£900? I know I still owe £2k to the director’s loan account so it may be a good thing for me?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

seems there is little i can do for what appears to be their mistake during the year. add £250 for the priviledge of closing down puts a big hole in the war chest

could be their fees to wind it up

indeed it looks mostly made up of their dormancy and windup etc fees.
