    Weekend expenses

That's all beautiful but does anybody know what are the rules, guidelines or simply practice for claiming valid, business related acommodation and subsistence on non-working day.

like Sunday, where one needs to stay overnight and incur the cost wholly, exclusively and necessairly to be ready for performance of the duties Monday 9am.

Any more booklets on expenses I could be aware of... Thanks.

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a simple guide to expenses - HMR&C's own version is over 100 pages long and anything but simple! In my opinion the argument in these would be whether or not there is a 'need' for you to be at your accomodation on a Sunday rather than the Monday; if you could prove that there was then the expense would be allowable. If it is just the case that it is easier for you to arrive on the Sunday then I don't belive the cost would be considered allowable.
