    Not far behind you

Good news Ron. It dawned on me early on (early Feb) that Cnx were trying to scam their way out so I decided to make provisions to leave Belgium back then. Just waiting for the clock to tick over.......

No answer to any emails and the +352 number doesn't even ring out, seems to be disconnected!!!

Datastream is closed that's why they're not answering anymore....

        One final comment.

Is it an offence to lie to the tax man about taxes owed in Belgium?
So do you think that one Belgium office will lie to another about the taxes that CNX owe? They won't. The golden list is just bait on a hook.

There are countries that want your services, and they offer excellent terms, 25% expat tax rates, 30% tax free rules like NL, lowered taxes for higher bands like Germany. Belgium is not offering any of these.

So chill out, go elsewhere, find a job, or set up a company, make a website, do some trading or something, somewhere else. If your customer needs you, they'll let you work remotely anyway, or perhaps its the final straw that causes them to move their work elsewhere.

You know where you're skills are welcomed and where they are not.

Many words come to mind to describe the scum that Connexions have turned out to be. While they were spreading their malicious rumours and venom around, trying to scare and frighten people into handing over their cash while baring their souls to the BTA, they were already bankrupt!

I wonder how many people handed over cash only to now find themselves ripped off and facing the BTA on the basis of some 'Johnny Bullsh*t'.

Amazingly Dennis was calling people only 2 days ago to arrange meetings.

If anyone had doubts before I hope this now removes all of them, and your cash stays in your own pocket! Should you get a letter one day then seek professional advice and not that of scam artists, and do try not to rush headlong into confessing your life story.

If anyone wants a good accountant PM me.

Confirmed on different sites for those who still believe in cnx´s innocent intentions. I wonder who is going to process your April invoices now...

                Should I leave

                Hello Nodric,
I signed up with Connexion last year.
Before was trying to setup as Self employed but my qualification was refused for equivalence.
So was in Belgium little longer than I should.

Now have tax return to fill in.
If taxman starts asking awkward questions about split income etc.

                How quickly does he react.

                Thanks.

                  DataStream Bankrupt

                  Hi all,

On this cnx saga, datastream was the backoffice of connexion and since Friday was declared bankrupt, now they are using another backoffice called Central. For sure connexion has filled in for bankruptcy! How soon will your money be swallowed???

                  RUN fat boy RUN!

Guys, Connexion is not bankrupt. They have staged a "strategic" bankruptcy of the back-office company. Connexion is still operating hence any calls from Dennis and the like.

Rather amusingly, when the back-office company (Datastream) was made bankrupt, the telephone lines were cut off.............and for some reason were not transferred to the new "phoenix" back office company (many same staff, numbers, computers, siebel system, same landlord, same address more or less). Embarrassing to the say the least?

They have kicked out many staff from the old company WITHOUT their redundancy rights even though we know HJ is a multi-millionaire. Also, the new company is trading with Datastreams clients so could it be clearly a strategic bankruptcy with intent not to meet the social responsibilities? Answers on a postcard! Can I ask the audience?

I can only re-iterate the message generally on this thread, I do not recommend sending your money to them. It is sure to build another house in Cape Town don't you think?

I would probably support what FB is saying above. However, are any of you happy to trust your money to someone who is effectively committing fraud (staged bankruptcy to avoid paying their dues and demands) and, what deals have they done for what clemency with the BTA? Golden List (nice list of people for them to have a chat with eh!)

Read the posts from OldTimer for some sobering comments.

For all intense and purpose Connexions are dead, over, finished and, should be avoided like a £10 hooker whose just had 3 other guys and is a known intravenous drug user
