Books etc about running company - tax deductions

Looking for books etc. about running contractor type companies in the UK.

    1) What you need to do formally.
    2) The best way to do it.
    And especially 3
    3) Getting stuff deducted
Not just what you can deduct, but the best way to arrange documents and money.

For example (just to give an idea about what I am looking for)
    a) I mix professional and private books in an Amazon order
    b) I go on a business trip to the alps (plane, rental car, hotel) and bring my family along.

    I would recommend these two

"The Guide to IT Contracting" (good, but could do with a good proofreader!)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guide-Contra...1152788&sr=8-1

And "Teach Yourself Understanding Tax for Small Business"

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Teach-Yourse...1152854&sr=8-1

    HTH

    "Keep them at 24,000"
    "No, feet"

Blevins Franks Guide to Running A Microbusiness

      Hi eubased,

Please feel free to download a copy of the e-book above. Its 400 pages of the information you need.

You can download from www.blevinsfranksaccountants.com you will need to register first then go to the business library and its in the tools and documents folder. Any problems just PM me. The answers to both your questions is in the section on deductible expenses :-)

I would also download the pcg guide from www.pcg.org.uk its also very useful.

      Good luck.

      Phil
