I know a sole trader has to do end of year accounts (or something similar) but like a LTD co is there anyway of viewing them on companies house or some other site. ?

Nope, they are the equivilent of an employed person's Tax Return and thus theoretically secret.

As far as I know, being a Sole Trader, you are not classified as a business. If you want to advertise how well you are doing as a business, you need to go down the route of setting up a company rather than retaining a Sole Trader status.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

Thought as much...so if i wanted to find out how well a business was doing in the past that isn't currently trading i could only take the word of the person selling it.....sounds risky to me

          THanks

They must have had a set of books that the accountant maintained. Ask for a copy of these ?

Asking about expecting to be offered (and have verified) this information is not the same as asking about "finding out".
