Heck I wouldn't even write a letter to them, just walk away and forget about it.

Journey of the soul? My arse!!! It's more like a journey into oblivion.

Learn to pick your battles, this is one that you are not going to win.
I loved that expression I've bolded.

He lost it ages ago, he just hasn't realised that he's dead yet and the funeral was last week.
All he's doing is making Big Client PLC realise that they were wrong to offer him the role in the first place.

Just an observation and not a criticism - but I think someone here isn't exactly cut out for running a business, and might wish to re-evaluate along those lines...
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

On the flip side of this whole thing, the stink you've caused could lose the agency that client and they could sue you for loss of business.

Very good point, and I'm willing to bet they have deeper pockets and more expensive solicitors than you do..... (btw British justice is about who has the most money and most expensive solicitors, not about what is fair and who is right)

Bollocks. You want the last word, pure and simple. You're clearly female...

probably take it to the European Court of human rights. If that didn't work... probably the European Court of Permie rights. (ok... I am kidding here. )

When you get shafted through a false accusation by an agent, you have to get your 2 cents in. Else you will never be invited back.

I'd say your action plan is far more likely to make sure you're never invited back...
