    Working in Dublin

A colleague of mine has been working in Dublin since February until August 2008.

He was being paid cash stright into his bank account, no tax or NI deducted.
He now needs to complete self employment accounts for this period so he can pay the relevant taxes on it etc.

As he is normally a English resident would he need to get an Irish account to complete accounts and pay tax over there or would he pay tax in England preparing accounts here?

Both probably. He could well be resident in both Ireland and the UK. Who he pays, and what, will depend upon the DTA in place between Ireland and the UK.
