Sponsoring Sports Event

Ok, I've had a trawl and I couldn't come up with anything.

Basically my company is thinking about sponsoring a fight at a fight night, has anyone done this and can this come out of a marketing budget ?

There could be 20 fights and myCo would sponsor one of those, get name in program and present the trophy to the winner. Are there any complications with what I've suggested ?

(Is this by any chance, just a way to get a seat at the front table paid for by your company?)
