    Setting up a limited company

I want to setup a limited company for myself but i'm unsure if going to one of these easy setup companies that charge around £70 is the right thing to do.

I want it to be quite painless and easy.

Where should i go to do this?

Don't want to pay anymore than about £80 all in.

    Thanks
    Rob

Depends what you want if for. If it's for active use, just sign up with an accountant where company formation is bundled in "for free". You can, of course, do it yourself. Companies House website has all the info on what you need to do. It takes longer but it costs you less and if it's cocked up you've no one to blame but yourself.

Drop Tina a mail at tina@uptonformations.com, they do formations directly with Companies House for £60 all in and normally within 24 hours.

As Lucifer says, if you're looking for a company to use for contracting, use an accountant who offers a free formation as part of the package.

It is for contracting (for now) and I do need an accountant as well, so i guess i should go that "bundled for free" route.

Need to find an accountant now. Can't put it off any longer.

Good lad, you know it makes sense. Darren above purports to represent an accountancy business. No idea if they're any good though.

            Are you any good Darren?

Any experience of justcontracting.com, they do the free limited co thing.

'Fraid not. The ones that get mentioned here a lot are Darren's (whoever they are), and Simon Dolan (who used to post here). There are also a couple of n'er'dowells who push a service called 4contractor or some other txt spk type name. My advice is to post a message in the general forum saying you're looking for an accountant and link to here. See who comes along to offer their services.

                  You're welcome.

As always, my advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.
