Aren't you an employee of the Brolly? If so then the contract should be between the Brolly and the Agency. Otherwise what do the brolly do?

      which agency is this ?

' My Agency has refused such a request - firstly fobbing me off with "the Government view that as Tax Evasion", and more recently telling me that "Your End Client don't allow it".

Please let us know who is this agency as this is precisely the type of stuff that contractors need to be aware of

        that is correct!

I changed umbrella 3 times before going limited. One agency changed happily with no issues, the other made me wait till extension for legal reason. altho if you are having customer services issues with the umbrella, they will help you change. They did make me wait until extension to change to ltd, they said thsi was due to VAT restrictions or something. Couldnt be bothered trying to fight as i had 6 weeks until the extension.
I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!

          I've changed brolly mid-contract before.

I gave one month's notice to the old brolly (they are your employer; you'll probably have to do this), joined the new one, and instructed the agent to re-assign the contract to the new brolly, starting on the first working day after leaving the old brolly.
