use of home office - increase

Anyone else got their Employer Bulletin this week? See p10.

From 6 April 2008 the guideline rate you can pay home working employees without keeping records increased from £2 to £3 per week.
    A 50% increase!

The government wants you to work at home and not drive to work.

So why have they slashed the amount you can claim? I.e. you can't claim a porportion of rent anymore.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Listen, anything this Govt pumps out is brown and smells. You just can't polish a turd, but do they try.

Typical like..... They say 'we give 50% increase...' (= £1/week). They don't say we take £££/week off other allowances.
