PAYE with 2 companies - can I not pay PAYE for 3 months ?

I am thinking do some contracts for another Ltd (Ltd B). I will be effectively PAYe with both my Ltd A and Ltd B.

Question is , if I am contracting through Ltd B for 3 months , can I ask my accountant in Ltd A not to pay myself any salary. Is this prudent to ask while staying under the hmrc radar ? I mean , during these 3 months I will have not brought in any revenue to Ltd A. During the 3 months I will be paying PAYE to Ltd B. Is it prudent to do that on a reoccuring basis ?
