    Dividends and notional tax

    Can anyone help on this one please

    I have to pay dividends to shareholders, do I pay the dividend "net" of notional tax? i.e. gross dividend £6205.65 less 10% (620.56) then make a payment for £5585.09?
    Or should I pay the gross?

      Often a confusing issue!

      Dividends are always declared and paid net, the gross amount (with the 10% tax credit) is only used when calculating your taxable income etc.
