    Preferred Supplier List

    Hi,
I'm a newbie / lurker to this site, but I thought you may be able to advise on a query I have.
I received an email from my agency today (Pathway) stating that from 3rd Dec they are implementing a preferred supplier list so that anyone who uses a payroll company / umbrella / whatever must switch to one from their list. This applies to new contracts and renewals, so will affect me early next year if/when I get a renewal.

    My options are:
    - accept renewal (if offered), form a ltd company, continuing with Pathway and current client
    - accept renewal and switch to a "preferred supplier" continuing with Pathway
    - reject renewal, find another job with a different agency and continue with my current "umbrella"

Presumably I don't have the option to accept the renewal and continue using my current umbrella but cut out the agency, arguing that whilst Pathway do have a clause that states I cannot cut them out if I get renewed they have imposed this preferred supplier list after I signed the agreement with Pathway, so the terms are different.

Ignoring the various arguments for forming my own ltd company (as there is already more than enough of that on this forum and doesn't need to be dragged over again) can anyone suggest a way that I would be able to renew and continue with my current umbrella.

Thanks in advance for your tips / opinions.
