Tax Man wants to know what I have been doing!

    Folks,

I have been with a brolly for the past 2 years. I was working for another brolly before that.
HMRC has sent a letter through a letter headed "You could end up paying too much tax if you don't complete this form". Its a P91(T)

They want to know who I have been working for and how much I have earned for the past couple of years.

Has anybody else been sent one of these and why do they need to know all this.

    Cheers

Mr Windy Anna got one yesterday, I suppose because he is not paying UK tax (but pays in the Netherlands).

A while back a chunk of people I was working with all got them at once - turned out that the agency they were working through was undergoing some sort of investigation and all contractors currently on their books were written to in order to check they were all paying tax.

If you are PAYE then just fill it in with the brolly's details, unless you haven't been paying tax then it should be the last you hear of it.
