I am looking to purchase a log cabin for the garden, which I intend to use as an office for my Limited company. Both myself and my wife work for the company. How much of the expense of the log cabin can the company pay for? Will this part of the property be eligble for CGT , if we sell the house and move on?

I seem to recall someone asking something similar last year."If you can read this, thank a teacher....and since it's in English, thank a soldier"Comment

It does indeed seem possible.
I would suggest to those with big sarcastic gobs to remain quiet. You're doing nobody any favours with your mindless quips, as the saying goes, "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". There is no limitation as to how many times a question can be asked on this forum, and whether a question was asked this year or last year, doesn't matter, tax legislation changes from year to year, and what was possible last year, may not be this year and vice versa. With the government putting emphasis on climate change, there could possibly be a tax break on implementing a garden office, as it reduces carbon emissions etc.Last edited by cykophysh39; 30 August 2007, 09:29.threenine.co.uk

All I meant was that you didn't seem to be getting much response, so it might be worth checking what people said in the past.Originally posted by cykophysh39 View Posthttp://forums.contractoruk.com/accou...=garden+office

If your new shed is not going to cost more than a few hundred quid I really wouldn't bother - this sounds more hassle than its worth.Comment
