    Quick Question - Camcorder

Can i justify putting it through as a business expense - I'm working as a business consultant [spit], so am thinking that I could use it to record workshops / training material.

What is the consensus - think it'll wash with Hector ?

Screw gordo, just put it through!
put it through the business to make it official (payment direct from business bank account)

I use a camcorder all the time for my work so it is a legitimate expense.

When doing time and motion studies I cannto write down the processes (some as small as 2 seconds) so I video it and review it later.

This isnt a "i wanted a camera so I made up a justification" I really DO need the camera for work stuff.

I know of someone who put a 6 grand plasma screen TV through his company, on the basis that he was a big bloke and needed a big screen to do presentations.

Despite the fact that it stayed attached to his living room wall and never moved because it took six people to lift it, he still got away with it.

Yes, you can definitely justify it. Probably a good idea to keep a little record of some client work where you used it, though (e.g. keep a couple of completed tapes)
Plan A is located just about here.
If that doesn't work, then there's always plan B
