    New PC time

I've decided I really need to get one.

I do all my accounts on my PC, and will be working for clients at home a couple of days a week on it and have a few other bits of business related vapourware projects on the go. So I will genuinly be using it for business stuff. However it'll probably get 50% non-business use.

So can I justify buying it through the company and claiming back the VAT?

I could keep the old one in place, get a KVM switch and then if anybody ever were to look I'd have a solid defence. But that's a bit of a pain.

It should be fine, Vectraman. Go for it.

Unless you are suspected of committing some serious fraud you are very unlikely to be probed that deeply and even less likely to have a PC disallowed as a legitimate expense for a company that specialises in IT.

      Hell yeah!

Even when I'm surfing the Internet it's classed as "Education and Training"

Thanks. I think I'm being a bit too paranoid.

All I need to do now is make up my mind if I want Vista or not. Hmmm.

I was thinking a new PC would have no compatibiltiy issues, but I've now found out that there's no drivers yet for my printer/scanner.

            XP it is.
