    CT41G - Your help please.

I've received the form CT41G Corporation Tax - New Company Details.

I'd appreciate your help filling this in.

Firstly, is the date on which my companies first accounting period began the same as the date the company was formed. If not, what should I put for this. I don't expect to be invoicing until the start of april.

What should I put as the date to which the company intends to prepare it's accounts? My company was formed on the 19/2/2007

Question 11 states that "If, at the time you are completing this form, the company has been obliged to comply wth the requirements of Income Tax (Pay As You Earn) Regulations (2003), the date on which this obligation arose"....

What should I put for this. I intend to be paying myself through PAYE so I'm not sure...

Also , there is a section entitled "We would also like you to give the information we ask for below". Is this section optional ?

    Thx
    M.

    1. Yes.
    2. Companies House should have told you when your company was formed - my guess would be Oct 2008 - but you need to check - you can do this on CH website.

Not sure on the other 2 - have you rung the helpline they're usually pretty good.

I haven't sorted out an accountant yet. I'm busy filling in Nixon Williams forms to appoint them.

I'll probably just put the CT41G in with the appointment documents for Nixon Williams.

Although I'm not with NW - I'm sure they would help you out with this sort of thing or at least tell you what to write on the form.

My guess [ based on your formation date ] would be that accouts will be due in Oct 2008.

              Better ?

For the first year you can opt to file your co a/c after 18 months. Then every 12 months. most company choose to file a/c in April.
