Global PAYE/payroll service
Hello,
Anyone here contracted short-term overseas using a Global PAYE/payroll service provider agent? My UK client has allowed me to work remotely in Gibraltar but insists on using their existing UK PAYE service provider instead of international umbrella (6Cats) nor will they pay into any Limited company setup. I have already worked remotely in Gibraltar since end March 2023 and spoke to a local accountant for cross border tax advice that I will still need to declare tax returns for the period and then make tax refund claims later.
I am still trying to convince my client's HR to at least consider alternative global payroll provider options for my 6 months contract extension starting September. Can anyone suggest global payroll agent as what I've found is mostly global accountancy software. If I do extend my contract via the UK PAYE provider will there be any non-compliance implications on myself or I should be fine as long as I declare to the local tax authorities my income? Assume it is the employer/ PAYE provider is taking the risk of non-tax compliance for the setup.
