Hello,
I started the MVL process on my LTD company in early June 2020 - as I decided to give up contracting indefinitely. I am using a reputable Liquidator (specialising in MVL's) and the process seemed to be running smoothly with the distributions made quickly and most of the formalities completed without issue. My company had around £200K in cash with no other assets (and all my tax returns taken care of before the process started) so I assumed this would be a simple MVL. I got an email from the Liquidator in October/November 2020 stating they were waiting for clearance from HMRC before closing the case.
Fast Forward to the current day and I'm still waiting...
The Liquidator reports that HMRC are saying there's long delays. I'm approaching 13-14 months since I instructed the Liquidator. It feels an excessively long time for HMRC to do their final bit (nearly 9 months).
Is anyone else experiencing similar delays?
