Companies House Form 12 - notary

    Hi

I'm setting up a Ltd company and decided to do it myself as it seems very straightforward and not worth paying for. The only stumbling block is that I need to get Form 12 notarised and am being quoted £50-£75 just to get the form witnessed! Does anyone know of a notary in the London area who would do this for the recommended charge (£5). I really don't want to get ripped off by someone chargin me £50 just to sign a form!

A lot of accountants will set up a Ltd for you free of charge if you are using their other services. Even if they don't it's going to cost you £125 tops. How much of a cheapskate are you to not want to pay that to make sure it's done properly?

go to a high street solicitors - they will do it for a fiver - its standard practice

I would not bother trying to get a notary - they usually deal with much bigger fish like authenticating the moon landing and other such things*

*obv not this, but they do deal with shipping, insurance, translation of legal docs etc .... they tend to charge about £200 an hour for the privelage of their services
