    Capital Allowance on computer gear

    Hi,

    I bought a computer, a bag and a battery during 05/06. Total approx. £1500.

So I say my work use is 50% which gives £750. And then I take 40% of that as the allowance which gives £300.

Is that all there is to it?

    Cheers, Ian.

The whole cost is paid by the company and the your company claims the allowances oni its tax return (CT600) - if you have an accountant they will do this.
