VAT - Change of my biz address

Hi peeps,

I'm moving and my company is registered to my home address.

I've changed my details with the IR, however, any ideas how to change the addy with the VAT man.

I can't find anything on their website.

Send them a company headed letter notifying them of the change of address, they'll send you an updated VAT certificate in return.

Your accountant may do this for you as well, particularly if you have authorised them to act as your agent.

You write to the VAT Variations unit, there are four across the UK , the one you write to depends upon your postcode.

Ring 0845 010 9000 and they should be able to tell you.

I had to do this recently & wrote to the VAT reg unit in Wolverhampton. Never received a new VAT certificate, but the latest VAT return form went to the correct address okay.
