Actually, Bernard, our complaint is not actually with your company (although you seem to have perfected the art of silent selling... ), it's with the number of people that pop up on here claiming to use some obscure device to save paying out taxation. While it is perfectly in order for people to arrange their affairs to their best advantage, there is a risk involved in any non-standard scheme and especially so given the rapacious nature of our current chancellor. Also, the majority of the people using these schemes seem to have only a passing acquaintance with both tax law and contracting in general.

I trust you do a full risk analysis as part of your service - I have done my own and the answer was to treat anything that promises to beat the UK taxation levels by a significant amount as the spawn of the devil - but that's just me being a wimp.

Who is the 'our' in 'our complaint' Mal? MTM et al offer a service which you can either take or leave. If you have previously taken it and got stung then, ok, you have a right to complain. If you haven't taken it then whats to complain about?

Personally, I'm happy with a Ltd. But, if someone wants to try and make the most of what they see as a legitimate tax vehicle (having undertaken their own due diligence obviously), then surely that's up to them?

      Older and ...well, just older!!

So is MTM dead and has MTP taken over?

What can you add to this conversation regarding the tax implications of your plan? Is it really fool-proof? Where does the burden of liability lie? How are you different from the numerous other offshore loan companies - Winston etc.?
Ok. So what is current position on hector investigation as raised by Helen7 and others in this bulletin. OR do you want us to join scheme first and then tell us about how hector is crawling all over your scheme !!.

Do you rebate your fees if we end up paying £100k tax.

Bernard - you did not respond to my queries (and i guess quite a number of affected Contractors [ i have been told you have over 1500 members] are interested in hearing your take on things).

So is it fair to assume:-
              (1) your scheme is NOT going well with Hector yet you " ... are still marketing same scheme as we have done for several years .."
              (2) no refund of fees if and when Hector make us pay lots of tax OR we lose our houses.

                  I think MTM are great

Have been with them for 6 months and think they are wonderful. I work with someone who was one of the first 5 to join (5+ years ago) and has never had any issues.

From what I hear, Hector will have huge issues closing down the MTM scheme.

Obviously have to be careful what is said on here - Hector also has internet access!
