    Electoral Roll

I moved into my flat in April this year after spending 4 years at an RAF address. I filed my electoral roll update but think I read somewhere that the roll itself isn't actually updated until December....? This address is the registered address for my company so will not being on the electoral roll have any implications? I'm guessing not seeing as I've managed to at least open a bank account but I want all my bases covered.

I haven't been on an electoral roll for over 20 years, being a contractor I don't need to buy things on credit so no problem. The tax man knows the company address so fine there.

How do you pay Council Tax if you are not on the electoral role. And if you aren't you really are screwed when they catch up with you, as they'll ask for it back with interest.

I've never had a permanent address in the uk and spend most of my time out of the country anyway.

As far as I am aware, the electoral role is updated twice a year, March and October.

Your company is an entirely separate legal entity from you. I cannot think of any implications of you personally not being on the electoral roll other than you might have to go through a through more hoops to verify your address when taking out financial services products, but on the bright side you won't get called up for Jury Service.
