Nothing... Just did some googling and its on their website as well.

Seems the 40/60 rule comes into play.. but now I am confused...

I working in area A for 3 years...

Then went to area B for 12 months

Now back to area A at the moment on a 3 month gig

Where does that put me ? I was told I can't claim.

Got my numbers wrong.... It was 12 month break...

Would a 9 month break make it allowable ? I also get a bit confused with 40/60 stuff.

Hence why I just trust my accountant

I have a similar problem recently... I thought a 9 month break was enough... and it wasn't So had to repay some money and stop claiming.
My accountant mentioned 15 months too but doesnt this just use the 60/40 rule. ie assuming you worked at previous place for some time, once you been at 2nd gig for 15 months, then its 15 new gig, 9 old gig so your 60% of the time at new location. Is that right?

But then surely this depends on duration of previous gig as well? In my case, 3 months at location A, then 8 months at location B. Going back the full 24 to other gigs none of these are same locations.

So after 8 months at B, in the last 24 months I've worked 8 months B, 3 months A, 13 months other. So way less than 40% at A. Which means I'm good to go back to location A and start from zero???

It's not hard to work out. There is an entire thread on this and a ton of of others. Why on earth are you asking this rather than putting a bit of effort in?

Why not try and help yourself rather than post this crap?

              I reckon (if Im right):-

When you finished in area B previous 24 months had been 50/50 A/B. So no sorry it still counts and you can't claim.

              I reckon if you'd done 3 years at A, then 15 months at B, (so when finishing B you'b be 15 months B, 9 months A > 60%) you'd have been ok.

Honestly. We've done this to death and you've been round long enough to know. Stop posting utter tulip and people might take you a little more seriously.
