Advertising on Cars / Vans / bicycles

In the UK can I claim money against the companies tax bill for advertising on company cars, vans, bicycles etc. etc.? i.e. the idea is putting the website name on them.

Essentially if I pay some company to put it on a bus then I have to pay that and it is a business expense, but what happens if the company owns the vehicle?
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
threadeds website, and here's my blog.

I would think you can only claim the cost of the signwriting on the company's own vehicles, as this is the only real cost. Gives rise to a wider question - whether a signwritten company car attracts a lower benefit in kind tax charge. I've also been thinking about buying/leasing a pickup through the company, but tax implications aside I'd need to convince my wife that it would be "socially acceptable".

You can claim the cost against tax of having the sign produced, whether that be the cost of having it physically written on the side of the vehicle or a magnetic "stick on" sign manufactured, or whatever. You can't charge an "ongoing cost" for advertising on your own vehicles if that's what you mean.
