Could somone post the URL for the HMC's list of expenses contractors using an umbrella are allowed to off-set against their tax please?

Not quite sure what HMCE has to do with offsetting against tax.

Do you mean allowable expenses for VAT? Look for the VAT guide. Or for tax/NI? Do searchs for 480 & 490.

Things you can claim are same whether you are umbrella or not, but umbrellas may be able to pay flat rate expenses without requiring receipts, you need to ask them.
