    Thanks for all the replies.

They had suspended the fees last time I was benched and were rewarded with business for the last 6 years. It's just that I had a feeling they wont dont it this time as they are no longer small firm now.
A discount will definitely help though. I will ask the accountant about the options we have.

            £95+vat I think (a month). Nixon Williams.

Point is if all you getting is £320 a month or so you don't want to be coughing up over £100 to accountant.

To be fair, didn't ask them last time, but if needed I reckon they would reduce if you asked them. Good guys are NW.

              Long time lurker here.

I have been benched for a month now. I wanted to explore if I can ask my accountant to suspend their fees untill the company starts generating revenue again.

Is that normal practice? is that something any of you do?

              Thanks,

If you ask them really nicely, they might offer to provide the service for free

I know what a P60 is but I thought you needed it to start a JSA claim? The fact I dont know if it's needed would make me COTBAC surely?

I left the country for two months. I asked my bank for a discount on my mortgage because I wasn't using the house. They said no.

I asked my utility company to cancel the standing charges while I was gone. They said if I wanted the service in place and operating when I came back, I'd have to pay it.

I asked my home insurer to discount my fees. They wanted MORE money because the house would be empty.

I asked to have my car lease extended for two months at no extra charge because I wouldn't be using the car. They laughed.

So did I when I read the OP.

Can't hurt too ask. Although they would still be required to submit some RTI submission, regardless of whether you actually take a salary or not.

The main bulk of any accountant's fee is for accounts prep and submission.
