Hi there - I've had a search about but can't really find anything conclusive to answer my query. I'm currently in the process of making an offer for a property, and need to get things in place to prove my income so I can apply for a mortgage.
So in the past 3 years my situation has been:
05/2012 - 03/2013: Contracting through my Ltd Co
03/2013 - 11/2014: Staff job
11/2014 - present: Contracting through my Ltd Co
Now my accountant advises that I won't need, or be able to obtain an SA302 as I've not done a tax return (Not everyone does them). He advised that P60's should be sufficient to prove my income - and that bank statements showing dividends deposit/credits should be sufficient too. I took this to my mortgage advisor and he said that's a load of bo**cks. He advised me to wait on my P60's arriving from HMRC and then we'll see what's what.
Can anyone who's been in a similar situation shed some light on this as I wait for the P60's to arrive?
