    Blacklisting of directors after APN

    Dear All,

New to the forum so please excuse any indiscretions! I am in the process of due diligence for the partial sale of my company. We have been advised by the accountants on the buyers side that if an APN is issued we, as directors, will be blacklisted by the government, preventing any future government contracts. Does anyone have any other experience of this, is it possible or likely?

Thanks in advance from someone who's livelihood is hanging on a thread!

    You need to read this:

    https://www.gov.uk/government/upload.../PPN_2_TAX.pdf

Basically the Government will not (so they say) deal with any supplier who has used tax avoidance.

As usual, it's a lot more complicated than that.

I suggest that you read this and the various notes and results of the last review and then speak with a professional adviser.

      Thanks

Perfect, that answers all my questions, not as bad as the scaremongering accountant suggested by a long chalk!
