    Advice please regarding domain names.

    Hi,

I would like advice regarding domain names. I have purchased 10 domain names for my business which need re-newing every 2 years. They cost £6.00 each.

For my corporation tax purposes, would I class these as capital allowances or expenses?

    Many thanks for any advice.

Not totally sure but think the rule for websites is capital if used in business, current if just used to advertise. Assume domain names will go with that. At £60 every two years not sure is that important, accountants often treat small capital items as current expenses and I doubt the IR would be too bothered given the very small tax impact.
