Contract extension/agreement

Feeling a bit stressed this week and an evening with my old mate Jack Daniels didn't help last night.

Basically my contract finishes today, the client has verbally said he wants to extend, I'm happy but would like a rate increase to which I have mentioned to my agent. At this present time no new contract/extension has been drawn up/sent to my Umbrella and I finish at 1pm today.

Question is do I turn up on Monday without a signed/agreed contract in place? Something tells me I'd be silly to, but on the otherhand I get on well with the client and maybe this sort of thing happens all the time?

Why are you stressed? If you were worried about a contract ending why did you stop being a permie?

If it ends, get another contract, if it doesn't then carry on working. Simple as...

(Oh yeah, unless you have a signed extension in place, do not under any circumstances turn up on Monday unless you fancy working for a couple of weeks for free)

No, I'm not stressed about work, just stuff at home is clouding my rational judgement over this, trying to locate a part for my car is causing the most stress this week...have you ever dealt with Alfa dealers

I'd go in personally like - they've verbally offerred you it, and you've already been working there. Some times people can get too caught up in the legal side of things.

Yes its a risk that they'll shaft you at the last minute, but what are the chances?

I'd most definately go back on Monday, and spend all day hassling my agent to get that contract printed.

Only if you don't mind not getting the rate increase as you'll have accepted the contract/extension 'as is'.
