Tax dodging scum

Whilst the arrangements would no doubt be legal - the hope presumably being that either rates are lower when the loans are written off or they are non resident and there is no resulting charge to UK tax - it is interesting to note that this is quite definitely being pitched as "evade". This perhaps gives some indication of how difficult things are going to be getting when availing oneself of any avoidance strategy. -
Because of this new tax rate, Britain may become less attractive for foreign players.
But as long as they can find loopholes, its all good
. Some of them are asking after tax salaries in contracts. Ribery recently demanded 125K After tax from Chelsea.

Yet again, Labour's mishandling of our economy is going to cause the best people to leave the country. Memories of the 70s......

How can anybody be worth 80K a week ?The star is renegotiating his £80,000-a-week salary after being 'unpleasantly surprised' at his income tax bills, which in his native Russia were only 13 per cent.
I'm not sure even a brain surgeon would be worth that amount, but even if they were, then a footballer should be well below that figure.
What strange priorities we have in this country / world.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

You seem to be obsessed with surgeons and money. Are you really that low that you judge everyone by how much money they earn. Does it not occur to you that if Surgeons wanted to earn £80k per week then they would become professional footballers?Originally posted by Board Game Geek View PostHow can anybody be worth 80K a week ?
