I've thought about a career change as well. The thing is, I have no idea what. Plus I'm 40 this year so it's too late anyway.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I had a very traumatic divorce 5 years ago. The BFH (my ex) kept the kids until she got my capital and income. I now see hem 4 days per week - but I have to pay most of my income to the BFH, mortgague and to my gf who looks after the kids while I work.Comment
