I'm about to negotiate my first fixed price contract, Not met the end client face to face yet, but wanted to be prepared when negotiations start
The customer has a set budget for a consultant/PM to do this project and a high level set of deliverables, however I have to define the detailed deliverables.
So not knowing the exact deliverables how do I go about quoting/ accepting this? Should I quote for a short let's say 5 day consultancy to get more detailed requirements and after that accept/reject the full project?
As it is Central London based, my travel cost will be quite high, is this usually claimed as additional cost or included in the full budget.
