    Career Direction

    Hi all, another newbie here...

Started on my first contract in Jan after getting fed up with the permie "slog". Although still early doors, I'm loving life as a contractor! Anyway, now that I'm in a position where I need to be marketable I'm keen to sharpen some of my skills up and maybe learn some new. I'm work with infrastructure and past roles have either been Architect or PM, but also have a solid background in datacentre migrations.

Obviously aiming for that longevity/marketability factor in order to maximise my contractor experience, so wondering if anyone had any advice around skills that would stand me in good stead?

Preference would be to focus on technology rather than PM and so far I'm thinking of working through the core MS stack. Also considered exploring new areas like Citrix, Cisco, Oracle, SAP, etc.

Appreciate it's probably the million dollar question, but any advice would be appreciated!
