From Web Hosting thread and SimonMac

    http://forums.contractoruk.com/techn...t-hosting.html

"MY stock answer for hosting and domain reg is http://www.vidahost.com they have a one click install function for WordPress as well as other application see here https://www.vidahost.com/page/hosted-applications"

Worth a look - their customer service is excellent.

    Have you looked at Rackspace??

It's been like that for years, guess they feel if it aint broke don't fix it.

The admin dashboard whilst not pretty is functional and straight forward. Their customer service is also good and the performance and uptime are good.

Sounds like exactly the sort of work I am after, any good agencies people can recommend for this kind of requirement?

They do have a website but it is WordPress.

So I'm just wondering if members have (or know someone that has) had good or bad experience with those kind of service providers / hosting companies?
Bonus points for SPs who offer free or nearly free no strings attached 'developer' platforms.

Actually the client got in touch with me directly via indeed.com. Incidentally I don't remember creating a profile there.
