      I was speaking to a very senior IT project manager with a big financial this week who asked me what RUP was.

          Well you would like to think someone who has worked in software for 20+ years and who now runs an 'agile' team would at least have heard of RUP. It was the biggest software process going for a good few years. Esp as the team use rational tools.
