    How to post code without it being translated into Smilies

    Hi,

    I need to post a javascript problem that I need help with including some lines of code but when I preview the post, CUK tranlates some elements of code into smilies - is there any way I can disable this on CUK before I post the actual code?

    Many thanks

    Put "code" in square brackets, or press the # button when you post.

    Code:
    // Javascript is for numpties
    Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

      Many thanks. I'll happily confess to being a numptie.

        So it looks like this when you are creating your post:

        [CODE]
        :laugh This is oh, so easy! :rollin:
        [/CODE]

        To get this outcome:
        Code:
        :laugh This is oh, so easy! :rollin:
        instead of:

        This is oh, so easy!

        Mind you, this is more difficult:
