When I install the catalyst drivers it messes up standby and the screen won't turn on when it comes out of standby. Fine if I hibernate and fine if I turn on and off just standby thats knackered. All works fine if I remove the catalyst drivers.
    Cheers for that think i've got it down to 3 laptops now and still got to choose between 15 and 17"

              Depends on how good your eyesight is.

              To that of course can be added how often you will be using it (if you have another PC), and any other concerns, e.g. weight, size etc.

              Had to make the same choice end last year, my previous notebooks having always been ultra-portables. In the end, though I fancied something similar, I decided to take a screenshot of my typical environment and resized it to show how it would look on a few screens with various dpi and printed them off to see what I was comfortable with.

              May seem a bit ott, but in the end though the various sizes or dpi may sound good, if it means a 10pt font is only a few millimetres tall...
