I've been a Standard member of IPSE (previously PCG) for many years, mainly because of the tax investigation cover peace of mind.
My IPSE renewal is due up soon and although I'm probably going to close my company down in the coming months, I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading my membership...

Changing accountants and risk of investigation by HMRC
I've read (in the small print of tax investigation insurance) that changing accountants increases your risk of being investigated by HMRC. Does anyone know if this is really true or are able to offer anecdotal evidence either way?
We have nothing to hide but am thinking about changing...
