That's what I'm afraid of. I would have to go through tons of interviews ... but maybe someone knows/heard about companies that do allow WFH. That would be a good starting point for me.

You'd have the agent in-between too who must likely will be be keeping the clientco's identity close to his chest.

Pretty unlikely I'd say, plus you'd have to prune out a lot of roles that don't allow WFH, as that's usually by negotiation not listed in the role profile.

Hi All,

While looking for a .NET developer role (contract) role I was trying to compare effectiveness of publishing profiles on sites such as JobServe and Monster. One of the results was thread on this forum so I started reading … and I came to conclusion that this is a good place for my question:

I’m a skilled .NET developer currently working for one of big Swiss banks in Poland (permanent role). I would like to switch to contract in UK. Seems easy but the problem is that due to family commitments I need to find a role that will allow me working remotely from Poland (maybe in 1/5 system – 1 week on-site/5 from home). I heard that many people form outside UK do so. Of course I’m willing to work for some initial period (couple of weeks) on-site but I would like to be assured that if I prove myself there will be a chance to work remotely. Can you advice any companies/agencies that give such opportunity to their employees?
