Web Page header images - how big is too big?

With responsive web design header images seem to be going massive these days, I'm just wondering what you would consider too big?

for example google analytics...

Google Analytics Official Website ? Web Analytics & Reporting

on a 1600 wide screen its getting pretty massive, on my 2440 screen is it totally out of order on a maximised browser. Too big?
