Ta. Haven't looked, and I know she won't have done. First I noticed it was when I got my Nexus 4 (which is what she will be using from next month anyway), so I assumed it was a Jellybean update.

Still waiting for my tablet to get the KitKat update - all I'm after is the spinning K logo from the settings menu

There was a recent update to Play which switched it off, so if you are using it, make sure that the latest update didn't disable it.

Does your wife know you're posting about her desire in a public forum?

Had 4.3 for so long I can't remember when I got it, I'm supposed to be getting 4.4 in a few weeks

The S4 Play edition will come out about the same time as the N4 and N10 releases. Samsung haven't confirmed a 4.4 release date for the S4 yet but have said that it will do one.

To be honest, I am only just getting used to putting Magic Lantern onto my Canon DSLR camera... I might not tempt fate by accidently bricking my S3.

New one is 4.4, which is worth having, although having Hangouts as an SMS application takes some getting used to.
