use fastmail (free version) don't like the interface enough to use it as my main account, for some reason still use yahoo but so many accounts are hacked these days that most of what I get from my yahoo contacts is just spam- main provider is gmail, not perfect but streets ahead of yahoo

surely an email provided by your isp will have an sla so why not use that address?

OT- yahoo seem to encourage me to use their new slower, clunkier interface of yahoo classic - everytime I go there i get an error and a 'do you want to switch back to classic?' option which i invariably always click only to be presented with the same message next time - if you are going for free web based email yahoo is prob the worst

Can you get at the headers? If there is a delay then tracing the various relays might show you what is going on. It's as likely to be down to the senders mail server or another on the route as yahoo.

how about moving to a proper mail host provider, the sort that requires payment and might offer some sort of SLA in return?

    Yahoo email

Anyone here use Yahoo and currently experiencing delayed delivery of emails?

I'm not 100% sure if there is an issue as I don't receive a large volume of time-sensitive emails but the ones I do, I suspect, were sent by the sender much earlier than I received them.

Think it has been like this for about a week - is it me or anyone else in the same boat?

Please, no posts about move to GMail, Hotmail etc. as they are more reliable - it's six of one/half a dozen t'other!
