That looks pretty good. Pity only in C++ but I can probably live with that.

Obviously a man with greater surfing skills than moi.

    Any other offerings?

    Parser generator I assume.

I want to write a ABNF specification for a particular protocol and produce a parser for instances of messages using that protocol.

    Ah, the resident genius.

Nope, I'm interested in Augmented as in RFC2234 which gives the <a>*<b>element augmentation.

Extended only gives the *, + and ? extentions.

    Augmented Backus-Naur Form Parser

Come on you lot, make my day!

I've been looking at language parsers and have come to the conclusion that the Augmented BNF syntax would be ideal. The main reason being the ability to specify lengths of tokens rather than just 0 or more, 1 or more and so on as with straight or Extended BNF.

The problem is I have failed to find a shareware parser for Augmented BNF. I have found things like JavaCC and ANTLR but not one that states it is for Augmented BNF.

So, the questions is, have I missed something? Why aren't there ABNF parsers out there?
Working...
